My Surreal Movie

This isn't necessarily related to the class material, but it's the short movie I made for the Eckerd Surreal Film Festival. All the footage is my own, the music, however, is not.

Naive (like a fox) heroes such as Mr. Deeds

Did any of you notice a similarity between the opening of Mr. Deeds Goes to Town and the later-filmed Andy Griffith Show? Mr. Deeds reminded me very much of Andy, and the lady serving as his housekeeper reminded me of the character Aunt Bea. The apparent naivete Mr. Deeds demonstrated (plus the zest for life) was similar to that shown by Andy in so many of the television episodes. And was it pure coincidence that one of the photographers chasing Mr. Deeds around town to get the famous newspaper shots was a young "Otis" from The Andy Griffith Show?
