THE NAVIGATOR (1924)

  1. I am guessing that was a real scuba diving suit. I can't even imagine how heavy that must have been to wear.

    1. Super heavy. That is not a SCUBA (Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus) outfit. This is before there was such a thing. That was simply called a diving helmet and suit. It was primarily used for repair work. You could dive quite deep in such a suit but it was very dangerous as rips or tears could result in sudden death by water pressure.

  2. I didn't notice the shadow play in the first image while watching the film; that's some great blocking/choreography.
