James Cameron

James Cameron is a film producer that was very important to the film industry. James Cameron is a film producer that has made some movies that have made a serious influence to the film industry. He write and directed movies such as Piranha II: The Spawning, The Terminator, The Titanic, Dark Angel, Aliens, The Abyss, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, True Lies and also created many documentaries.

Early Career

In the early career of James Cameron’s film making and producing life he worked on getting more educated and better at the film making techniques. Scoring a job with Roger Corman Studios started to make Cameron produce low budget productions which really showed him how to work efficiently and be effective. Cameron was hired to be the special effect director for the film Piranha II: The Spawning which was a sequel of Piranha and his first director job. As he was very ill Cameron had the ideas about the movie The Terminator which would be the rising of his film career.

In James Cameron the Terminator he wanted the role of the Terminator to a less muscular person who would have been able to blend into the crowd but the first time that Cameron met Arnold Schwarzenegger he felt that a cyborg villain would be a better fit for the role. The Terminator was a bold movie because it cover many of the classic science fiction tropes while adding a brutal layer of violence. The story of a “terminator” being sent from the future to kill a rebel leader in the making captivated audiences by being smart and action-packed.
It was a low budget film costing $6.5 million to make but the outcome was over $78 million worldwide.

The Terminator 2: Judgement Day

The Terminator 2 was a sequel to continue the story of Sarah Connor and her struggles against this machine from the future. This movie he was even more advance upgrading from a T-800 made of a metal endoskeleton to what was called the T-1000 which was made of liquid metal, and with polymorphic abilities. The T-1000 was a new and improved terminator that was not as bulky but extremely fast and agile. The special effects with the T-1000 was what really made this movie amazing. It earned over $200 million in the U.S. and Canada and $300 million in other territories and was named the highest-grossing film of the year winning four Academy Awards.


Overview

James Cameron overall has made a big jump to the position he’s in now with the film industry. The efficient that Cameron had helped him throughout his career but his strength was actually what made him succeed in his career. As The Terminator as the sky rocket to his career James Cameron has now won many awards and is one of the top producers in the film industry.
