I loved this movie! I had never seen it before and was pleasantly surprised that it kept my attention. Cary and Ingrid had beautiful chemistry and intensity. This movie inspired me to conduct my research on Alfred Hitchcock.
This Hitchcock film was flawless, as his films generally are. I really enjoyed seeing the actors working together to create suspense and confusion until the truth was finally revealed about the mother. Once the viewer realizes what is going on, everything else that was already seen becomes perfectly clear. Also, being in B&W created a certain sense of mystery that goes well with the film. Films today sometimes try to recreate Hitchcock's style, but nothing is truly good as the original.
